Vallauris ceramics, bottle vase by Ronan Bouroullec, made in collaboration with the ceramist Claude Aïello. Rare model produced in 1999 in Vallauris. White glazed ceramic, in perfect condition. No chips, chips, or scratches. Piece entirely turned and shaped by hand by Claude Aïello. The vase is signed intaglio under its base. In 1999, the general directorate of cultural affairs and the city of Vallauris asked designers to design pieces which would be produced artisanally and in small series by ceramists in the city, in order to boost local ceramic production. Ronan Bouroullec, recently graduated, is consulted. He chose the workshop of Claude Aïello with whom he created the “Torique” collection, a set of ceramic objects of which this vase is a part. It is a unique and rare piece which makes sense in the history of contemporary ceramics in Vallauris, with a new approach to production which unites contemporary designers with local artisans, and successively confronts them with artisanal techniques. ancestral and innovative models to produce. This is one of Ronan Bouroullec's first creations. D 8.5 XH 36 cm
