It is a promotional and advertising object from the 1960s and 1970s. Vintage mobil is a major american oil company founded in 1911 and integrated into exxonmobil in 1999. Pegasus is a winged divine horse, one of the most famous fantastic creatures in greek mythology. Logo of the mobil company before its merger with exxon, it is at the origin of a giant effigy representing a red winged horse that became the property of the city of dallas. Pegasus appears on the various mobiloil and mobil logos from 1911 to 1931 and again from 1932 to 1966.
