Chinese hairdresser's stool in lay elm and copper. This unusual piece of furniture dates back to the 19th century. Bought in beijing in the early 1980s. The small drawer on the front was used to collect coins that the hairdresser inserted into the slot on the seat. The craftsman stored his instruments in the drawer on one side.
