• Six vintage Pagholz (or pagwood) high-back chairs designed by Adam Stegner for the company Flötotto (Germany). The chairs on sale were produced by the company Eurosit (Nevers, France). The thermoformed shell of these chairs is Pagholz (or pagwood), a wooden plywood into which resin is injected, which ensures flexibility and robustness to the shell by leaving the grain of the wood visible. The “sled” shaped base is in chrome-plated steel. • The wide, slightly hollow seat and the high, flexible backrest make these chairs particularly comfortable and ergonomic. You sit well and your back is supported according to an active sitting principle. • The chrome metal base firmly fixed under the seat guarantees great robustness to these chairs, which are all the more practical as they are stackable. • Their fluid, refined and graphic silhouette makes them very discreet and the beautiful height of their backrest (91 cm!) structures the space of the table they surround (see photo around a glass table). Can be used at home or in a professional meeting room. Dimensions Height at the back: 91 cm (12 cm more than the usual back) Seat height: 44 cm Width: 41 cm (seat) to 54 cm (base) Depth: 41 to 52 cm Note: these chairs exist in two heights of back: either with a low back (78 cm) or, which is rare, with a high back (91 cm). The six chairs on sale have a high back. Condition The Pagholz of all of these six chairs is in good condition (no chips on the shells or on the edges, no breaks or cracks) but slight shadows sometimes appear on the surface. The bottom of some chrome legs is sometimes a little pitted (see photos, this concerns three chairs). History • The furniture manufacturer Flötotto was born in 1906 in Germany. Evolving from custom furniture to mass production, the brand established itself after the war with the Pagholz ergonomic chairs omnipresent in
