Large octagonal platter from the French pottery Clairefontaine, "Indiana" service in white ironstone decorated with a geometric frieze in pink and a large floral motif in the same colour. This platter, stamped on the back and produced between 1885 and 1889, is in very good condition and shows minimal chipping around the edge, giving it an authentic patina.
