Set of six Plia folding chairs, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in 1967. A masterpiece of 20th-century Italian modernism, these iconic chairs feature polished chrome frames paired with warm, translucent smoked brown plastic seats and backrests. Engineered for space-saving efficiency without sacrificing aesthetics, the patented 3-disc hinge mechanism allows each chair to fold completely flat for effortless storage and stacking. Every piece retains its original 'p/ia CASTELLI ITALY' manufacturer imprint on the seat frame edge, guaranteeing authenticity. The chrome finishes remain bright and reflective, while the tinted acrylic seats showcase normal light vintage patina consistent with age and careful use. The chairs are in excellent vintage condition, except for one scratch on one chair, see pictures.
