Oil on canvas 19th century – Lucile Doux – Portrait of a young lady

Very beautiful oil on canvas from the 19th century, depicting a portrait of a young lady, dated 1860 and signed Lucile Doux at the bottom right. The young girl is shown seated in an armchair, dressed in an elegant dark dress with a white collar and cuffs. The work is presented in a significant antique gilded frame, richly decorated with fluting, bead friezes, and acanthus leaf motifs. In very good overall condition considering its age, with some signs of age, wear, and visible cracks on the painting and the frame.
