This pair of vintage two-branch wall lights radiates all the refinement of French decorative architecture, in the grand spirit of Louis XVI. The central body takes the form of a fluted and openwork urn, topped with a moulded finial and finished at the bottom with an elegant base in the shape of a pine cone — a motif beloved by 18th-century ornamentists. The two curved arms, finely chiselled with acanthus leaves, gracefully extend to hold a leaf-shaped cup and its faux candle with drips. The gilded patina of the brass (or bronze?), slightly dulled by time, gives these wall lights the authentic and warm character that only antique pieces can offer.
