Description. A true Rococo-inspired toiletry accessory in the Napoléon III style, this piece stands out for the richness and finesse of its ornamental details. The rectangular frame, generously adorned with raised floral motifs (roses and foliage) and symmetrical scrolls, is topped with a stylised shell, typical of creations from this era. The mirror rests on an elaborately crafted pedestal, finely chiselled, allowing for adjustable orientation thanks to its two side pivots. The back of the mirror is protected by a finely embossed metal plate, a technique characteristic of the second half of the 19th century, reflecting a concern for detail present throughout the piece. Technical characteristics: • Style: Rococo / Napoléon III • Material: Gilded metal (brass/high-quality alloy) • Total height: 41 cm. • Width: 24 cm. • Depth (base): 10 cm. • Era: second half of the 19th century. Condition: Excellent overall condition. Gilding very well preserved, details sharp.
