Broc en Terre de Fer H. Boulenger model Montespan

Toilet broc, made of iron earth, from the manufacture h. Boulenger, model "montespan". Favorite of louis xiv, the marquise de montespan is a figure of the reign of the sun king. The symbolism is strong around this magnificent piece since we have messed it up on his native land. Very pretty earthenware with a floral pattern of red color, we have rarely seen such an imposing object, loaded but finished. Beautiful room, rare, in good condition. Note that the beak of the broc was broken and glued (see photos). Washcloth also available.
