APair of consoles

Pair of large consoles attributed to the Italian designer melchiorre bega ( 1898-1976), in polished walnut. The rectangular body features 4 drawers with geometric cut-outs, supported by 4 sinuous r-shaped legs. The decorative polygonal drawers are generous in size. On each console, the wood of one drawer is slightly curved, and slides a little less easily. A bold, organic and elegant structure typical of Italian Style 50. H 91.5×W 198×D 56.5 cm.
