Art Deco serving trolley circa 1930-40

Maison Lecan presents this Art Deco serving trolley from the 1930s and 1940s, with Bauhaus-inspired lines. This elegant piece combines two oval wooden tops with a tubular chrome-plated metal structure, held together by solid wood fasteners. The dialogue between the warmth of the wood and the shine of the chrome illustrates the transition from late Art Deco to functional, Bauhaus-inspired modernism. Mounted on its original casters, it was designed as a rolling bar or refined side table, fitting equally well in a modernist interior as well as a classic Art Deco setting.
