XL dome suspension in blown glass, Italy circa 1960

Magnificent and rare XL pendant light. Italian production from around 1960. The very original structure in metal and chrome brass supports a dome of blown moulded glass, very thick and made from a single piece, closed, ribbed, and richly detailed at its base. The total height of the light fixture is 90 cm, with the dome measuring 26 cm in height and a lower diameter of 40 cm, tapering to 14 cm at the rim. The conical ceiling light is 6.5 cm high with a diameter of 9 cm. In perfect condition, there is just a chip, re-glued, on one of the balls at the base, which does not affect the aesthetics and is imperceptible when the light is suspended, whether it is off or on. This superb pendant, of ultra high quality, will undoubtedly be the centrepiece of your decor, in a large entrance or even a dressing room. It will add absolute chic to a designer kitchen above the dining area... and what can be said once it is lit... Italian class!!!
