This farm table has a style typical of the 2nd part of the 19th century with curved legs tapering towards the bottom and a scalloped belt, which indicates an influence of the Louis XV style. It is made of cherry, a species commonly used at that time. The extensions indicate that the table was designed to be extended to accommodate 10 to 16 place settings, very practical for large family gatherings. The sides are decorated with fake drawers with turned wooden buttons. Visible wear on the table is testament to its age and use over the years, giving it an authentic patina. ******** Period: 2nd part 19th century.
