Set of 4 mismatched bistro chairs from 1900

Set of 4 mismatched bentwood bistro chairs. Iconic of Parisian cafés and bistros from the early 20th century, these chairs charm with their timeless design and great sturdiness. Designed to last, they have endured decades without losing their appeal. The set consists of 2 Fischel caned chairs, 1 light beech wood Baumann chair, and 1 Thonet caned chair (No. 142). All stamped, the oldest is the Thonet chair dating from 1905; the most recent is the Baumann chair from the 1950s. They have all been inspected and refurbished in the workshop, then cleaned and nourished with colourless wax while preserving their original patina. They are in excellent condition, very stable, robust, and sound. The caning is solid without any snags. Ready for a new life, they will be perfect around a kitchen table, in a dining nook, or to add an authentic touch to a bistro, country, or vintage-style decor.
