Exquisite white fine porcelain footed plate, signed E.G. France – Edgar Gaucher, heir to the Charonnat factory in Vierzon. This manufacturer, active in the first half of the 20th century, perpetuated the Berry region's porcelain-making expertise, renowned for the quality of its clay and the elegance of its forms. The piece features an octagonal shape delicately outlined with a silver border and a polychrome floral decoration of flowering branches in fresh tones—pink, blue, yellow, and soft green—typical of the 1950s style. A beautiful balance between geometric rigor and floral romanticism, this is a rare and refined piece with timeless beauty. Stamped: Manufacture: Edgar Gaucher – Vierzon, France (formerly Maison Charonnat) Diameter 22.5 cm, height 5 cm, foot height 3 cm. Excellent vintage condition, very glossy. A piece of character, a testament to post-war French porcelain craftsmanship, perfect for a romantic cottage table or a revisited art deco style.
