Art Deco Wooden and Marble Console Table

Vintage Art Deco console in wood and marble, ideal for an entrance, living room, or bedroom. Its sleek design and geometric lines easily integrate into a contemporary interior, from the most classic to the most modern. The marble top shows some signs of wear: fine scratches, light circles left by water glasses, more or less visible depending on the light. These marks remain discreet and are difficult to photograph, but they contribute to the charm of the piece. This console is derived from the transformation of an old dressing table: there are very slight square marks on the back of the top, indicating the position of the two original small shelves. The back legs show a slight arc deformation visible from the front, more pronounced on the left leg than on the right. The front left leg is very slightly curved outward. In profile, the right back leg is slightly curved forward, without compromising the overall stability. The wood has been cleaned and treated against wood-boring insects. There are a few small veneer jumps on the back legs (see photos), as well as an original varnish left in its natural state, revealing a warm and authentic patina. The console is generally very stable, and the marble is securely glued to the top for everyday use. The two drawers have been lined with a cream, gold, and silver graphic paper, highlighting the elegance of the Art Deco style and providing a neat finish to the inside of the furniture.
