Pair of "Imperial" candlesticks from Val Saint Lambert in Belgium, made of hand-cut clear crystal, designed by the artist René Delvenne. Products made by Val Saint Lambert contain 33 to 40% lead instead of the 24% required by law. This additional lead content gives the products a magnificent brilliance and clarity. The branches of the candlestick are decorated with ten facets and rest on a six-facet base measuring 11 x 6.5 cm. This candlestick is referenced under the name Imperial - No. 101 - from 1953. Candlesticks in very good condition, however there is a chip on the branch of one of them (see close-up photos 8). One of the two candlesticks is signed below. I believe they are from two different periods but are perfectly similar. Dimensions: height 11.5 cm • width 20 cm • hexagonal base 11 X 6.5 cm ••• The Val-Saint-Lambert crystal works were created in 1826 on the site of a former abbey in Seraing, near Liège, Belgium. World-renowned, they are known for their high-quality productions ••• Careful shipping or hand delivery possible in Paris. Please contact me for shipments abroad.
