Pair of vintage post modernist wall lights, glass and sandblasted glass, France 1980

Rare pair of post-modernist wall lights produced in france in the early 1980s by the société centrale d'eclairage (sce). Structure in black lacquered metal and glassware made up of 7 squares of raw and sandblasted glass allowing light to pass through in an indirect and subdued manner. Post modernism takes geometric and timeless designs from the 1930s and modernism by bringing new colors, different assembly methods as well as an originality that was not common 50 years ago.
