Set of 6 clear cut glass cups, French production circa 1950–60. Typical post-war silhouette: low and open chalice (5 cm), resting on a slender stem and a well-balanced circular base. A line that appears simple, yet designed to visually balance the table. The decoration is crafted through engraving, blending two registers: — a motif of frosted dots, almost suspended. — fine, parallel, and curved lines that structure without confining. What stands out is the restraint. The decoration never overwhelms the glass. It appears in the light, then fades away. A discreet yet controlled play. Diameter 9 cm. Height 11 cm. Height of the chalice 5 cm. Good condition. No chips, no cracks. Slight and even wear on the bases, consistent with age. This type of service tells a story of an era when the table was set with precision, without excess. Today, it brings exactly what is often lacking: rhythm, without noise. €70.
