This scandinavian mid-century modern, free-standing wall unit in teak features two cabinets and two shelves, one with practical sides. It is an entirely modular shelving system called “ergo de lux” which was designed by john texmon for blindheim mobelfabrikk and made in norway in the 1960s. Slightly curved caninets make a warm impression and sculptural rails create an elegant and grand-looking statement. This shelving system includes: A cabinet with sliding door and 4 drawers -h: 42/ w: 79/ d: 35, 5 cm (drawers height 7, 5 cm) A cabinet with glass doors with an inner shelf - h: 43 / w: 79 / d: 24 cm. Two shelves 21 cm deep. 2 teak supports, each 203 cm long. The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have examined if all the doors and drawers work properly. On many occasions, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here we have only rejuvenated the wood with danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring furniture back to their best look, still considering they are 60 years old. Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece. Overall, the wall unit is in very good vintage condition with minor traces of use. Wood preserved with danish oil.
