Rare Czech Mid-Century Modern table lamp designed by Jaroslav Anýž and produced by Lustry, Kamenický Šenov, Czechoslovakia, circa 1950s. The lamp features an elegant black ceramic base manufactured by Ditmar Urbach, a slender steel stem, and an original milk-glass shade with a softly organic form. The combination of ceramic, metal, and opaline glass reflects the sophisticated material language that defined post-war Czechoslovak design. Jaroslav Anýž continued the legacy of the renowned Anýž family of metalworkers and lighting makers, creating designs that balanced functionalist principles with refined craftsmanship. Today, his lighting pieces are increasingly sought after by collectors of Central European modernism. The lamp remains in very good vintage condition. The glass shade shows only minor age-related wear and with a small chip along the edges, while the ceramic and metal elements display an attractive patina consistent with age. Fully functional and retaining all original components. A beautiful and increasingly rare example of authentic Czech mid-century lighting, suitable as a bedside lamp, desk lamp, or decorative accent in both contemporary and vintage interiors.
