Art Deco table lamp with glass shade Charles Schneider

Beautiful antique art deco table lamp with glass shade by charles schneider from around 1910. Charles schneider (1881-1953) was an art deco glass artist, born in alsace, germany, in 1881. Later schneider moved to nancy, one of the most important cities in eastern france at that time. After the first world war the schneider brothers had the opportunity to blow artistic glass. They made all kinds of colorful glassware from vases to glass lampshades. In 1938 the schneider glass factory went bankrupt and so came an end to the most colorful production of art deco glass. This beautiful lamp has been cleaned, restored where necessary and fitted with a new gold-colored twisted fabric cord, plug and switch. The fitting is an original b22 fitting. The coupling piece is adjustable in height by means of a beautiful spring system. A beautiful example with a nice piece of history. H 53 / w 32 / d 15.
