O Castro Ceramic Bowl

Very rare ceramic bowl from O Castro (predecessor of Sargadelos) with the "dolmen" stamp, from the 1950s and 60s, directed by Isaac Díaz Pardo. It measures 12 cm in diameter and 4 cm in height. The ceramics of O Castro was founded in 1949 in O Castro de Samoedo, in the municipality of Sada (A Coruña), by the Galician artist and intellectual Isaac Díaz Pardo along with collaborators such as Federico Nogueira Pazo and José Rey Romero. This project was the direct seed of the resurgence and contemporary aesthetic of the iconic Sargadelos porcelain, also driven by figures like Luis Seoane and the Laboratory of Forms.
