Vintage cobalt blue bubble glass vase – 1960s Scandinavian design

Vintage cobalt blue glass vase – Scandinavian design from the 1960s. Stunning vintage vase made of solid glass in a deep and vibrant cobalt blue, characterised by a multitude of fine air bubbles trapped within the material. Its sculptural silhouette, low and generous, with gently rounded shoulders and a short cylindrical neck, evokes the clean elegance of 1960s Scandinavian design. The thick glass reveals a remarkable depth of colour. Depending on the light, the countless bubbles create delicate sparkling reflections, giving the object an almost aquatic presence. The base features a large circular depression that has been carefully polished, which may correspond to a worked pontil mark. No signature is visible. The shape and technique are reminiscent of certain creations by Erik Höglund for the Swedish glassworks Boda, although no formal attribution can be established. Condition: Excellent vintage condition, with no scratches, chips, or cracks. A decorative piece full of character, as appealing as a soliflore as it is a small glass sculpture.
