This modernist chair was designed by Erik Buch for the Danish manufacturer Anderstrup Møbelfabrik in the 1950s. It is model 89. Made from high-quality teak wood in a dark brown shade. The contoured and comfortable seat and backrest are covered in high-quality black vinyl. The chair is crafted with the utmost attention to detail. It will work perfectly in many arrangements. Erik Buch is a designer born in Copenhagen. His furniture is characterised by an organic and functional aesthetic. His first success was the model 49 chair from 1949. It features a curved and floating seat and classic Scandinavian design. His most famous piece is probably the model 61 bar stool from 1961, which has a typically Scandinavian base with organically sculpted lines. Many of Buch's projects are named after the year of their creation. Other creations by Buch include the captain's chair (1955) for ørum møbler, the model 310 dining chair for Chr. Christiansen, and a T-shaped bar stool for Dyrlund. The chair is in its original vintage condition. It shows minor signs of use due to age. The seat height is 44 cm. The colours of the products shown in the photos may differ slightly from the actual ones. This is due to individual monitor settings and lighting conditions – the photos were taken in artificial light, which may affect the perception of colours. However, we strive to ensure that the photos reflect the actual appearance of the product as faithfully as possible. The offer may include photos of the item in a living space, but these are for illustrative purposes only.
