French Brass Cloisonné Style Champagne Bucket with Hand-Painted Fruit

A charming French brass champagne bucket or cachepot featuring beautiful hand-painted fruit garlands in a cloisonné-style decoration. Rich red cherries, soft ochre fruits and green foliage contrast beautifully against the warm golden brass, creating a timeless and elegant look. With its flared rim, pedestal base and rounded side handles, this mid-century piece embodies classic French country house style. Large enough to hold a champagne bottle, it can also be used as a wine cooler, planter, cachepot or decorative centrepiece on a dining table, drinks trolley or kitchen shelf. Dating from the mid-20th century, it has developed a lovely aged character. There is age-related wear throughout, including some rubbing and small losses to the painted decoration, areas of brass patina and wear around the upper rim, all consistent with age and use.
