Charming antique figurative faience box depicting a sow and her piglet feeding. The scene rests on a green base reminiscent of grassy ground, with a double container at the front and a hollow compartment in the body of the animal, closed by a removable lid. The whole is decorated with hand-painted floral patterns, highlighted with a blue trim. Somewhere between a utilitarian object and a curiosity, this piece could serve as a salt cellar, mustard pot, or small table container. It now finds its perfect place in decoration, in a kitchen or on a shelf. The naive and expressive style evokes productions from Central Europe, probably Germany or Bohemia, from the early 20th century. Presence of old salt inside. Overall good condition with visible signs of age. Chips on the edges and the lid. Patina consistent with age. Dimensions: Height: 8.5 cm. Length: 13 cm. Width: 7.5 cm. Weight: 250 g.
