The Seltz cabinetmaking celebrates in the 1980s the marriage of two indigenous woods. A dialogue of contrasts executed in three movements. The first arises from the meeting of beech and elm, whose shades respond to each other with clarity. Next comes the opposition of forms: one displays roundness while the other asserts a sharp and clear geometry through an insert made of two interlocking triangles. Finally, the choice of end grain for the elm completes this waltz by contrasting with the grain of the beech. Three movements, two woods, a perfect balance.
