This elegant sideboard signed MDK, made in Belgium in the 1960s, accurately embodies the influence of Scandinavian design on European furniture of the time. Its straight and clean lines highlight a warm teak veneer with a luminous grain. The original black handles subtly accentuate the drawer and cupboard fronts, while the straight natural wood legs, enhanced by a characteristic black line, bring balance and modernity to the whole. Functional and well-proportioned, it features four spacious drawers and a cupboard with an internal shelf, offering generous storage space. Its meticulous design reflects the craftsmanship of MDK, sought after by enthusiasts of Belgian vintage furniture. This piece also has a unique history: originally a secretary, we have transformed it into a sideboard while respecting its original elements, including its top surface. The MDK plaque has been preserved and repositioned at the back. Completely renovated with care, the sideboard has been sanded to reveal the richness of the wood, then protected by a matte varnish that enhances its natural hues while ensuring durability. Both practical and aesthetic, this piece will easily find its place in an entrance, living room, or bedroom, adding an elegant and timeless vintage touch.
