Very nice, unusual model of oak and oak plywood curtain filing cabinet from the 20s/30s. Indeed, this model is resolutely Art Deco in every detail: first, it rests on a tightened plinth which gives it an airy feel, and it is adorned, at the front and back, with a typically Art Deco rounded cornice. Then we find these typical "stairs", both in the top, which is also raised above the furniture, and in the sides of the curtain handle. In short, it looks great, with its neat design. The curtain opens with an original lock and key, with a beautiful keyhole. The curtain has been completely redone and works perfectly. Inside, 3 removable and adjustable sliding shelves in excellent condition, with a small solid plinth at the front for aesthetics as well as solidity. It has been completely cleaned and is usable as is. There are some old signs of wear and tear and also the lack of veneer on the inside of the left side (last photo). As the underside is real wood, the effect is not very disturbing. The veneer is also peeling off in places (without missing or cracking) but... On the back of the furniture (therefore invisible). Otherwise, it is in excellent condition and has an unusual design for these small pieces of furniture. H: 79 cm. W: 43.5 cm. D: 36 cm. The price is firm, thank you.
