An exceptional design for this slender vase with its beautifully developed petals. It is made of two-layered blown glass. The exterior transitions from an orange-red at the base to a deep red for the petals. The interior is white. It was designed by Dragan Drobnjak around 1970 and produced by the "October 9th" glassworks in Prokuplje (Serbia, then Yugoslavia). The design of this piece is unlike any other tulip-shaped vase. The last photo is from the glassworks' catalog, which includes the model name (lala means tulip in Serbo-Croatian). Dragan Drobnjak (born in 1941) is a glassmaker and sculptor who has received numerous awards in Europe for his creations. Some of his works are exhibited at the Conches Glass Museum, for example. This vase is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There is a small, almost invisible chip on the base (see photo). There are some minor signs of normal wear, barely noticeable (see photo). Carefully packaged and shipped with tracking. Local pickup is possible in Paris (please discuss before purchase).
