Superb antique door made of solid teak from North India (Rajasthan), dating from the 19th century. Double-leaf door with its complete frame, richly hand-carved. Traditional craftsmanship with original mortise and tenon joints and entirely hand-forged ironwork. There is an old metal plaque nailed in Hindi script (period numbering), confirming its use in a registered house. A very beautiful element of authenticity. Wood: old solid teak. Ironwork: original wrought iron. Natural patina, remnants of old polychromy (red/green) Very beautiful wear from time, not artificially restored. Dimensions: Total height: 202 cm.
