Period: c. second half of the 20th century. A magnificent footed bowl vase with a crackled turquoise glaze. The shape resembles that of an antique leech bowl. The crackled glaze has also been applied to the inside of the bowl, which is quite unique and a sign of great quality. There is no manufacturer's mark, but it could well be by Claude Morini, a French ceramist who made similar pieces of this quality in the mid-20th century. The outer glaze has micro-cracks, and the visible dark lines have been applied under the transparent glaze to give an effect of ancient crackling. Note: colours/shades may vary somewhat; the representation depends on lighting conditions, background, screen resolution, etc. In particular, blues/turquoises are difficult to photograph. The turquoise of this lamp is a typical turquoise colour. Condition: very good. Dimensions: 27 cm high, ± 20 cm at the widest point.
