Set of 4 black 'Locus Solus' chairs by Gae Aulenti for Poltronova, 1960s

A good set of black Locus Solus chairs - A very decorative and playful design by master Italian designer Gae Aulenti. This design from 1964 echoes the classic shapes of bentwood chairs. These versions still retain their original grey waxed cotton cushions with spotted 1960s pattern and black cotton backs. (the cushions were recently dry cleaned but still have some signs of age and use). The frames are in excellent condition.
