Mid-Century Teak Dresser from Nathan Furniture, United Kingdom, 1960s

This teak sideboard was manufactured by the British furniture maker Nathan Furniture during the 1960s. The piece represents the Mid-Century Modern design characteristic of the period, combining a clean, elegant form with a functional storage layout. The sideboard features three centrally positioned drawers flanked by two cabinets with doors. A distinctive detail is the subtly sculpted teak handles, harmoniously integrated into the fronts. The piece is raised on slender, slightly tapered legs, giving the structure a sense of visual lightness. The sideboard has undergone comprehensive woodworking restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating, stained in an oak colour, and finished with high-quality Danish oil, which protects the surface while enhancing the natural grain of the wood.
