Superb solid oak monastery table, around 1800.

Impressive solid oak monastery table from the early 19th century, possibly 18th century. Made of solid wood, it remains very compact and not overly bulky, being of a fairly average model, which is rare for these tables. It rests on four superbly thick, turned and carved legs, supported by a double central stretcher made of thick solid oak, which ensures the table's stability and strength while adding a certain charm. The tabletop is very thick, 5 cm, and closed at the ends with two solid oak battens nailed with old, very wide nails that have a beautiful finish. The wood is very beautiful, thick, with lovely grains and patterns. Perfect for a gathering of guests, this table brings a genuine warmth thanks to its sumptuous patina. There are a few repairs on the tabletop, including a section on the right that has been filled, but nothing that detracts from the visual pleasure, quite the opposite.
