Guillerme and Chambron “Grand Repos” Armchair

This iconic armchair is part of an exceptional pair of armchairs created in the 1960s by the French design duo Robert Guillerme & Jacques Chambron: the "rest & small rest" or "Grand Repos" and "Petit Repos" models. It is a comfortable throne. This one was created for a slightly corpulent person while the second, slightly smaller armchair was created for a slimmer person. The structure is made of solid blond oak, called a skeleton, with finger-shaped backrests, armrests and legs in a fluid and organic shape. The fabric shows wear consistent with age and use with minor discoloration in places due to the sun. This armchair is in very good condition, stable, robust, very comfortable.
