Vintage mid-century modern design low folding chair set by Pierre Jeanneret for the Le Corbusier Chandigarh project. Made in India during the 1960s. These low folding easy chairs feature a canework seat and backrest on a teak structure resting on two pairs of slanted, profiled legs. A solid crosspiece bar joins the back legs, and the backrest is attached to the seat with brass hinges. The teak wood frame has been refinished, and the canework has been redone. Each chair measures 78 cm X 50 cm X 69 cm, with a seat height of 35 cm. Sold as a set of two chairs. Items made of rosewood are subject to a special export process, which may extend delivery time by 2 to 4 weeks.
