Vintage design. The Lightball ceiling light designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos in the 1960s is one of the most recognisable achievements of Italian design from this period, where formal rigor meets functional intelligence. The luminaire features a large chrome metal dome with a highly reflective surface paired with a spherical opal glass diffuser. This balanced geometry produces a soft, evenly distributed light, while the mirror finish enhances the surrounding space. Clear and immediate in its design, Lightball perfectly reflects the Castiglioni methodology — eliminating the superfluous to create durable, legible objects that remain remarkably contemporary. Decades after its introduction, it retains a strong architectural presence while remaining highly versatile. Suitable as a primary light source or installed in multiples, it easily integrates into both modern interiors and more complex environments. Equipped with an E27 bulb. Condition: good overall condition, the chrome shows some small spots in places. Dimensions: diameter 42.5 cm — height 30 cm.
