Iconic "Emmanuelle armchair" in rattan. With its custom cushion. Painted white. Paint chipped in places. Good condition of the structure. A bit of history: before becoming famous and being associated with the name of the sexy young lady who posed lasciviously on its plant fibers, it was called the Pomare armchair. Pomare is the name of the last dynasty of the kings of Tahiti. If the armchair took this name, it is because the son of the king, Prince Hinoi, is said to have died in this armchair. It was in 1974 that this vahinée princess armchair changed its name to the general public following the theatrical release of the film Emmanuelle, a highly successful French erotic film (9 million spectators in France and 45 million worldwide). —- Maintenance: about once a year, you can clean it with a cloth soaked in a linseed oil / turpentine solution to soften the rattan and prevent it from drying out and cracking. —- Free collection in store (Amiens) Delivery throughout France: contact me.
