Antique Mahogany Bow Front Chest of 3 Drawers Georgian c1800-1830 Splay Fee

Antique mahogany veneered bow front chest of three drawers, Georgian, circa 1800 to 1830. A compact late Georgian chest with a gently curved bow front, a shaped apron and Regency-style splayed bracket feet. Each drawer has two turned wooden knobs, a brass keyhole escutcheon and a fine cockbeaded edge. The figured mahogany veneer has a rich, dark colour and a warm, aged patina. Size. Width 91cm X depth 49 X height 88cm. Material. Mahogany veneer. Condition. Good, honest antique condition, showing the wear expected of an early piece. There are some areas of old veneer loss, mainly to the divider rails between the drawers, these do not detract from the overall impression of the peice. 0There is a fine scratch to the bottom drawer. The drawers run smoothly and the carcass is solid and stable. Please see all photos for reference. More pieces.
