Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern chest of drawers in wood 1950 3 drawers

Vintage Mid-Century Modern commode, probably dating from the 1950s/60s, with Scandinavian design. The label on the back mentions SAB with a lion logo. This is the French brand SAB (Société d'Ameublement de Brioude), a publisher active in the 50s and 60s that produced high-quality Scandinavian-style furniture in France. It features typical solid wood tapered legs from that era, often finished with brass tips. The structure is made of teak or light mahogany veneer. The inside of the drawers is lined with original red felt, which was a sign of quality at the time. The handles are very original, consisting of a metal plate and black leather straps with stitching. A detail that interests collectors. The piece is intact and in good condition. The contrast between the warm wood, metal, and leather is a real plus for retro decor enthusiasts.
