From 1868 to 1871 he had a workshop on Rue des Argentiers, from 1871 to 1873 at 9, Rue des Arènes, from 1873 to 1891 at 36, Rue du Crucifix and from 1891 to 1894 at 46 Avenue Garibaldi. In 1894 he built his factory at 83 Faubourg Montjovis in Limoges, which ceased all activities in 1969. *Jean Luce: Jean Luce worked in his father's shop in the ceramics section, and notably produced tableware. In 1921, he first showed his work at the Musée Galliéra in Paris, then at the various autumn salons and salons of the Society of Decorative Artists. In 1923, he opened his own store. He was also a member of the jury at the international exhibition of industrial and modern decorative arts in 1925. From 1931, specializing in ceramics and glass, Jean Luce focused on the double problem of combining form and decoration. Painted by hand or using stencils, his patterns were linear and naturalistic at the same time, always very modern, the luxury pieces sometimes embellished with fine gold. Gradually, he worked on creating enameled decorations and from 1924, he used the sandblasting technique. In 1935, he designed the porcelain and glass for the Normandy liner. The test being convincing, he was recruited by the General Transatlantic Company for the other ships.
