Eames ICF for Herman Miller brown leather high back soft pad group chair

Vintage brown leather soft pad aluminium high back group chair designed by charles and ray eames and manufactured by icf italy under licence from herman miller. In overall very good vintage condition. The leather is soft and clean. There is some age-related wear but nothing too serious, and no specific wear to mention. The chair rotates 360 degrees, is height adjustable via a fully functioning gas lift and is on 5 feet.  A well-built, extremely comfortable chair. Approx dims: Height 110-101cm. Depth 55cm. Width 57.5cm. Seat height 51 - 42cm. Some background on this model from herman miller: Charles and ray eames developed the eames soft pad chair in 1969 as a luxury version of their eames aluminum group chairs. Introduced in 1958, the aluminum group was a special project by charles and ray eames for a private residence being designed by eero saarinen and alexander girard for cummins engines founder j. Irwin miller in columbus, indiana. At the time, the furniture was called the "leisure group, " or "indoor-outdoor group" since it was meant to address the lack of quality outdoor furniture on the market. herman miller began making the aluminum group chairs in 1958, and they have been in continuous demand ever since. The base will be taken off the seat for international shipments but is very easy to put back together via 4 bolts.
