A remarkable table lamp, imposing and richly decorated, made of fine earthenware. This piece is an exceptional example of the revival of Italian decorative arts from the mid-20th century, featuring a complex and detailed polychrome decoration on a white glazed background. The central body showcases a medallion adorned with a still life of fruits, flanked by chimeras and mythological griffins in ochre and blue tones. Renaissance elements are found at the base and centre, with classical mask faces (anthropomorphic figures) surrounded by acanthus scrolls and wrought iron motifs. The neck stands out with an elegant contrast of black against white and ochre winged figures. The base is decorated with a yellow and green geometric border. Entirely hand-painted, as evidenced by the subtle variations in brush strokes and the richness of the enamel textures. Material: High-quality fine earthenware. Circa 1950. Style: Italian Neo-Renaissance. In perfect condition. Dimensions of the lamp (without shade): 48 cm height X 20 cm diameter. *Sold without shade.
