Vintage Kashmir silk rug, medallion floral 50x75cm hand knotted 2539

A richly coloured and finely hand-knotted vintage Kashmir rug featuring a striking central medallion on a terracotta-red field. The cream ivory medallion frames a classic vase-and-flower motif enclosed in a cartouche, flanked by large teal floral blooms. The surrounding field is filled with an intricate all-over trellis lattice of rosettes in teal, pink, cream and gold — a hallmark of fine Kashmiri weaving. Made of silk pile on a cotton foundation, this rug is in very good vintage condition with full pile and vivid colours. It is equally suited as a wall hanging or a decorative accent piece.
