Old loft door Sénoufo – Ivory Coast – carved wood

Rare antique carved wooden door from Côte d'Ivoire, attributed to the Sénoufo people or a neighbouring ethnic group from West Africa. Entirely hand-carved from solid wood, it features a rich geometric and animal relief decoration. The traditional wooden locking system is preserved, as are the original monoxyle hinges. The door has been adapted for wall display and already has fixings on the back for immediate installation as a decorative piece. It has a beautiful old patina, with signs of age consistent with the piece's history. A visible shrinkage crack on the back does not affect its presentation. Dimensions: Height: 93 cm Width: 39 cm.
