It originates from a Skoda factory in Slovakia, dating from the mid-20th century, in the tradition of industrial archival furniture. Plan chests were used to store large-format cards, boards, and drawings in technical studios, printing houses, and design offices. Their system of wide, shallow drawers protected the paper flat. The body is made of beech wood, with a stack of flat drawers on wooden guides and recessed handles. Some drawers retain internal dividers while others remain free, as seen in the photos.
