Large and beautiful antique lantern, in wrought iron that has been electrified and repainted. The polychrome stained glass windows are in blown glass, with tin solders. The colors have remained bright. 2 red diamonds, cut in crystal, are on each side in the middle of yellow tiles, with a blue band on the upper and lower edge. The stained glass windows are intact, note just one blue that is cut across its width (barely visible, see photo). There is very beautiful forging work: alicanthus leaves adorn the top and bottom of the "cage". It is made of 6 walls, one of which opens (formerly to change the candle). Twisted rods enhance the corners of the "cage". The finishes are very neat and harmonious. The whole thing is very well balanced: height of the lamp ("cage"): 78 cm or 115 with the hanging rod (and electrification), 25 cm X 13.5 cm stained glass alone, on 6 sides. The stained glass windows have remained magnificent, neat welds. The wrought iron has been repainted in metallic blue (anti-rust paint), but has a few small gaps, barely visible except 1. The electricity works. All you have to do is make a place for it in your home: in an entrance, a vestibule, a staircase, a large living room... Provide a solid hanger because it weighs its weight. It is an exceptional unique piece. It crosses the years, the centuries and remains as beautiful as ever! Possibility of purchasing separately, a set of 4 identical stained glass windows.
